In a filing with the local stock exchange Dubai Financial Market, on which its shares are traded, Dubai Parks and Resorts said guests will experience "nearly 100 rides and attractions across four parks", Xinhua news agency cited.
The destination will be comprised of three theme parks -- Bollywood Parks Dubai, Motiongate Dubai, and Legoland Dubai, together with Legoland Water Park.
The resort is located in the southwest part of Dubai, adjacent to the border with Abu Dhabi.
The 10.5 billion dirham ($2.86 billion) destination will also include Riverland Dubai, which offers retail and entertainment facilities. It will also host the Lapita Hotel, a Polynesian-themed family resort.
Dubai Parks and Resorts said the value of its shares has gained 62.62 per cent since the start of the year, making it one of the best performing shares in the Gulf region.
