Injured Bayern defender Boateng returns to training

Rio de Janeiro, Aug 11 (IANS) Injured German defender Jerome Boateng has started training with Bavarian football giants Bayern Munich after a gap of more than a month.

Boateng just did some light running instead of the full team training at Bayern's ground on Wednesday, reports Xinhua.

The 28-year-old suffered a muscle tear in his right thigh in Germany's 0-2 defeat to France in the semi-finals of Euro 2016.

The club said that he would definitely miss the start of the Bundesliga season when Bayern host Werder Bremen on August 26.
