Los Angeles, Aug 10 (IANS) "Captain America" star Sebastian Stan has been roped in for independent thriller "We Have Always Lived in the Castle".
The shooting will soon start in Dublin. Taissa Farmiga, Alexandra Daddario, Joanne Crawford and Willem Dafoe will also star in the movie, reports variety.com.
Stacie Passon is directing the project from a script she wrote with Mark Kroger, adapted from Shirley Jackson's horror novel.
It narrates the story of an isolated family which has lost four members to poisoning and uses rituals and talismans to keep itself away from hostile townspeople.
Stan will play a distant cousin, intent on maliciously securing the family's fortune, whose arrival sets in motion the uncovering of family secrets.
The novel was published in 1962 and was adapted into a play in 1966 by Hugh Wheeler.
Stan is known for his role as James Buchanan "Bucky" Barnes/Winter Soldier in the three "Captain America" movies and will appear in "Avengers: Infinity War" next year.
