New Delhi, Aug 10 (IANS) Designer Payal Singhal, known for her subtle styles in Indian couture, has collaborated with shoe brand Fizzy Goblet to create a festive collection.
Singhal says when she met Laksheeta Govil, Founder of Fizzy Goblet, she knew she wanted to create something together.
"We wanted to do something with Fizzy Goblet for our Lakme Fashion Week show last season. We work on the same design principle - taking something traditional and making it contemporary.
"After we worked on that collection, we thought it would be great to put a collection out in the market for more people to be able to buy," Singhal said in a statement.
Taking her signature prints in pretty pastels, adorning it with delicate sequins, intricate hand embroidery or applique work - the show brand has created seven designs in their popular jutti-style shoes.
Traditional motifs of a peacock and an ornate lotus against subdued backdrops of grey, peach and white, make for perfect occasion wear.
"I think juttis go with everything from kurtas, lehengas to even jeans and shorts," she said.
Apart from juttis, Fizzy Goblet has also added platform shoes in this collection.
Govil said: "Payal's sensibilities and Fizzy Goblet's brand personality are very much in sync. I truly believe that designers must join together to curate collaborated collections - it results in an interesting amalgamation of both styles which offers a lot more to the customer."
This festive collection is available on the website of Fizzy Goblet, and are priced from Rs 2,700.
