"We're expecting some 3,000 to 3,500 diners," Nachijet Shetye, co-founder of culinary events company Cellar Door Hospitality, told IANS of DineFest that will run across the three cities (four if you include Gurgaon) from August 12 to 21.
On offer will be a soup/salad/appetiser, a main course and a dessert for just Rs 500 (Rs 650 with taxes) per individual in Bengaluru and Rs 600 (Rs 770 with taxes) in Delhi and Mumabi.
"There will be multiple choices on offer in each category so it's not a fixed menu to that extent," Shetye explained
"DineFest is a reflection of current dining trends in the country, where restaurateurs are experimenting with interesting concepts in the informal dining space and providing gourmet experiences without breaking the bank.
"The event will allow discerning diners the chance to discover as well as experience dining at restaurants they may not be familiar with and will feature some new restaurants compared to the last round," Shetye added.
Zomato will be the online partner for the event. "This will allow diners to experience curated three course prix-fixe menus at a fraction of a la carte rates in the comfort of their homes," Shetye said.
DineFest debuted in October 2015 featuring 30 restaurants across Mumbai and Delhi with 2,111 diners participating. The next event, which also saw Bengaluru participating, attracted over 2,200 diners.
