Rio de Janeiro, Aug 9 (IANS) Academy Award-winning actor Eddie Redmayne says he is loving his "extraordinary" role as father to his seven-week-old daughter Iris.
Redmayne spoke about parenthood for the first time about becoming a father.
The Oscar-winner and his wife Hannah are currently in Rio with their daughter to watch the Olympic Games. He was asked about life with his daughter as he attended the Omega House opening night party on Saturday, reports hellomagazine.com.
"Well, it's only seven weeks in, but it's amazing. It's wonderful. All of the stuff you've heard for years, it's all true but utterly extraordinary," Redmayne said.
He added: "We were given the opportunity of coming to Rio; I've never been to South America. The notion of coming to Brazil and Rio was extraordinary. And the idea of bringing Iris on her first trip abroad to the Olympics in Brazil was too much of an extraordinary opportunity to turn down."
