A Coruna (Spain), Aug 7 (IANS) Colombian footballer Marlos Moreno, who has joined Manchester City for five seasons, said he thinks that one-on-one situations are his "strong point".
Manchester City on Saturday announced the signing of Moreno from Atletico Nacional, indicating that the Colombian player will be on loan to La Liga side Deportivo La Coruna until the end of the 2016/17 season, Efe news reported.
In an interview to the English club, Moreno said: "my game is based on speed and skill. I think one-on-one situations are my strong point."
The player said it will be "nice to experience being part of" the English club coached by Spanish Pep Guardiola.
"Pep Guardiola is one of the best managers in the world. I think he likes young players very much and he can improve young players tactically and technically," Moreno said.
The Colombian player expressed his happiness that he will play in La Liga against his "idols" Portuguese Cristiano Ronaldo of Real Madrid and Spanish Andres Iniesta of Barcelona.
During his season at Nacional, Moreno won the titles of the Colombian soccer league last season and the Copa Libertadores in July.
The Colombian player, 19, appeared in four matches with his national team in the last edition of Copa America, in which he scored a goal, in addition to two goals in the qualifiers for the 2018 World Cup.
