New Delhi, Aug 5 (IANS) It was a warm and sunny Friday morning here with the minimum temperature recorded at 26.5 degrees Celsius, two notches above the season's average.
According to the weather office, humidity at 8.30 a.m. was 73 per cent and rainfall in the past 24 hours remained nill.
"There will be a generally cloudy sky with no rainfall," an official of the India Meteorological Department (IMD) said.
The day is expected to get warmer and the maximum temperature is likely to hover around 37 degrees Celsius, the weather office said.
Thursday's maximum temperature settled at 36.7 degrees Celsius, three notches above the season's average while the minimum was recorded at 28.5 degrees Celsius, two notches below the season's average.
