Latest innovations on display at PharmaLyticaHyderabad, Aug 5 (IANS) Latest technologies in analytical lab equipment and quality control are on display at the third edition of PharmaLytica, which began here on Friday.

Over 150 exhibitors from niche segments of pharmaceutical industry like analytical lab equipment, contract research and contract manufacturing are participating in the two-day event being held at Hitex.

Being organised by UBM India, organisers of CPhI and P-MEC India, the leading global pharma trade show and conference, PharmaLytica will help the pharmaceutical community remain up to date with latest trends and innovations pertaining to the analytical, biotechnology, laboratory, pharma machinery and outsourcing services sector.

 

Speaking on the occasion, P.V. Appaji, Director General of Pharmexcil, said such events help pharma companies in a big way.

"India is a big pharma player in international arena. If the companies are to conform to the requirements of regulatory bodies in US, Europe and other parts of the world, they have to keep themselves abreast with the latest developments, technical upgradation and improvement in technology," he said.

Pharmexcil is partnering with UBM in organising such event as they help technical people and professional to upgrade their knowledge, which is important for growth of industry, he said.

Yogesh Mudras, Managing Director of UBM India, said the number of exhibitors have gone up by 50 per cent over last year.

He said Hyderabad is an ideal location for the event as analytical lab equipment sector is based here and south India houses a lot of contract research and contract manufacturing.

Ingersoll Rand India, Kirloskar Pneumatic, Chemipack India, Shiv Shakti Process Equipment, GMP Technical Solutions, Integrated Cleanroom Technology, Galaxy Sivtek, First Source Laboratory Solutions, Osworld Scientific Equipments and Charles River Laboratories are some of the companies participating in the exhibition.
