Los Angeles, Aug 5 (PTI) Singer Miranda Lambert, who stayed away from the music industry for a year now, says she is nervous for her latest song "Vice".
Lambert, 32, has opened up about her past one year and said she was busy in making music and focusing on songwriting, reported People.
"I'm nervous as hell. I've been hunkered down for a year writing, recording, trying to live a normal life and getting ready for a new album. No one's heard from me. I've been pretty silent all this time.
"And now that I'm coming with a song, it does make me nervous, and I hope that people are respectful of it and understand what I've been doing. But I've never hidden anything or tried to be too mysterious," she said.
The "Somethin' Bad" hitmaker, who officially split from her singer husband, Blake Shelton, last year in July after four years of marriage, said she is quite straightforward in her music which is not an easy thing as it takes a lot of courage and confidence.
"Every record I've ever made has been a reflection of where I am right then in my life, however old I am. And I've never held back at all. But this time, with what I happened to be going through in my life, being honest was never really a choice."
Lambert boldly mentioned that she does not care if anyone goes out and make a deal out of her latest single because she is not hiding anything.
"Everybody goes through a time in their life when they run to it a little bit more than when they don't. When I'm journaling my life and putting it on paper to a melody and then allowing people to hear it, I can't worry about what somebody might twist it into, because it's not like I'm hiding anything.
