New Delhi, Aug 1 (IANS) It was a cloudy morning in the national capital on Monday with the minimum temperature settling at 26.4 degree Celsius, a notch below the season's average.
According to the weather office, at 8.30 a.m., humidity was 97 per cent and the city has received 12.6 mm rainfall in the past 24 hours.
"There will be a generally cloudy sky with light rains/drizzle likely to occur in different parts of the city," an official of the India Meteorological Department (IMD) said.
The maximum temperature of the day is likely to hover around 31 degrees Celsius, the weather office said.
Sunday's maximum temperature settled at 31.3 degrees Celsius, three notches below the season's average while the minimum was 26.0 degrees Celsius, a notch below the season's average.
