Mumbai, July 29 (IANS) Bollywood singers Shekhar Ravjiani, Shaan and Neeti Mohan are busy teaching the Hindi dialect to the contestants of the singing reality show 'The Voice India Kids'.
Co-hosted by actor Jay Bhanushali and singer-comedienne Sugandha Mishra, the &TV show aims at providing a platform to children between the age group of 6-14 years to showcase their singing talent on national television. Since the contestants have come from different parts of India, their Hindi dialect is not perfect.
And the coaches of the show are now on a mission to teach them the right way.
'I have sung for some popular south films, but I had to always practice the dialect before singing the song. So, I believe that the children who have come from south India need to master the Hindi dialect as it will reflect in their performances,' Mohan said in a statement.
To this, Shaan added: 'Knowing the right Hindi dialect is essential to go ahead in the show. Apart from that we have also advised children not to use mobile phones during rehearsals as it will distract them.'
