Los Angeles, Jul 28 (PTI) Chat show queen-actress Oprah Winfrey is teaming up with Disney for a big-screen adaptation of the fantasy novel "A Wrinkle in Time."
Winfrey, 62, will reunite with Selma director Ava DuVernay on the remake of Madeleine L'Engle's classic 1963 work, Deadline reported.
"A Wrinkle in Time" tells the story of a young girl whose father goes missing after working on a mysterious science project, which sees him transport to the fifth dimension.
The girl searches for her father, and comes across many strange creatures on uninhabited planets throughout the course of the novel.
Winfrey will play Mrs Which in the upcoming film.
The script is being written by Frozen writer and co-director Jennifer Lee.
The movie continues Winfrey's recent return to acting, after starting work on passion project "The Immortal Life of Henrietta Lacks" with HBO earlier this year.
