Los Angeles, July 27 (IANS) Actor Matt Damon and popular host Jimmy Kimmel, who have had a contentious friendship over the years, but took additional steps to mend fences during an appearance on show âJimmy Kimmel Live!â.
The actor appeared on the show on Monday night, reports etonline.com.
âThe actor Matt Damon and I have issues,â Kimmel told his audience.
âWe do not have a good relationship. Heâs been particularly difficult lately because he has a big movie coming out on Friday 'Jason Bourne'. So we did this once before -- we went to therapy together.
"It didnât go very well, but we decided to try again. Apparently you have to go to therapy more than once for it to work,â Kimmel said.
In a skit staged during the show, the estranged friends met up for couples counseling, and Kimmel placed a stack of pillows in between them for his own safety.
When the therapist asked why they had decided to go to the session, Kimmel quipped, âItâs court-ordered.â
Damon, on the other hand, insisted that he had just been trying to get a spot on the show, which is aired in India on Star World and Star World HD.
âThereâs thousands and thousands of evenings that Iâve been just about to go on,â he said, noting that Kimmel always runs out of time.
The therapy session then went off the rails, when the counselor asked the pair to draw their feelings.
While Damon drew a picture of Kimmel with a butt for a head, Kimmel drew a giant manhood.
When they burst into a bout of laughter, Kimmel declared: âI think weâre done.â
