New Delhi, July 23 (IANS) The capital experienced a hot and humid day on Saturday with the maximum temperature settling at 34.8 degrees Celsius, average for the season, the Met office said. It has forecast rain or drizzle on Sunday.
"Generally cloudy sky with light rain or drizzle is likely to occur on Sunday," an official of the India Meteorological Department (IMD) said.
The maximum and minimum temperatures are likely to hover around 36 and 27 degrees Celsius, respectively.
Delhi residents woke up to a sunny morning with the minimum temperature recorded at 28.4 degree Celsius, a notch above the season's average, while the humidity oscillated between 64 and 84 per cent.
Friday's maximum temperature settled at 37.3 degrees Celsius, three notches above the season's average while minimum temperature recorded at 29.5 degrees Celsius, two notches above the season's average.
