Gurgaon sales executive honoured for her bravery in foiling robbery

Gurgaon, July 23 (IANS) A woman sales executive at Gurgaon jewellery showroom was on Saturday honoured by Haryana Police for her courage in foiling a loot bid, police said.

Zainab, 25, was given Rs 5,000 cash and a commendation letter by police at brief function in Commissioner of Police's office.

Her parents and the showroom owner were also present.

Zainab, who has been working at Bhola Jewellers for the last one year, chased a man who had on Thursday tried to flee with jewellery from the showroom. Though he escaped, he dropped the jewellery at the entrance of the showroom.

The incident was also caught on the CCTV cameras.

Though there were other sales executive in the showroom but only Zainab confronted the robber.
