Partly cloudy Friday morning

New Delhi, July 22 (IANS) It was a partly cloudy yet warm Friday morning here with the minimum temperature recorded at 29.5 degrees Celsius, two notches above the season's average, the weather office said.

"The sky will remain cloudy throughout. rains or thundershowers are most likely to occur towards evening or by the end of the day," an official of the India Meteorological Department(IMD) said.

As per the IMD, Delhi is experiencing above normal monsoon, with positive 68 per cent rainfall had occured so far in the month of July and 30 per cent above the season's average.

According to the official, the humidity at 8.30 a.m. was recorded at 70 per cent. Visibility stood at 3,500 metres.

The maximum temperature of the day is likely to hover around 37 degrees Celsius, the official said.

The maximum temperature on Thursday settled at 37.5 degrees Celsius, three notches above the season's average, while the minimum temperature was recorded at 29.2 degrees Celsius, two notches above the season's average.
