New Delhi, July 22 (IANS) The International Film Festival of India (IFFI), Goa has called for entries for the Indian Panorama with an emphasis on uncensored films for the first time.
According to an official newspaper advertisement, both feature and non-feature films are eligible. Films produced during the last 12 months preceding the festival -- September 1, 2015 to August 31, 2016 -- are eligible.
Uncensored films produced within this period can also be submitted.
"This is also the first time that the festival has called on uncensored films to be submitted," an official of the Directorate of Film Festivals (DFF), which functions under the Ministry of Information and Broadcasting, told IANS.
Application forms have to submitted online. A stamped and signed hard copy of the online application has to be printed and sent along with the requisite material to the DFF.
The Last date for submission of the online application is September 6 and the last date for receipt of a hard copy of this, along with the requisite material, is September 13.
All films must carry English subtitles.
As per the the official IFFI website, out of the films selected for Indian Panorama, two will be nominated for the Competition Section of 47th International Film Festival of India.
The movies selected for the Indian Panorama films will also be featured in various international film festivals, film weeks, Indian Panorama festivals and other non-commercial screenings, within the country and abroad at the discretion of the DFF.
IFFI is held in Goa in November annually and it attracts film aficionados from across the globe.
