Dumoulin drops out of Tour de France after breaking wrist

Saint-Gervais-les-Bains (France), July 22 (IANS) Dutch rider Tom Dumoulin was forced to abandoned the Tour de France cycling tournament after breaking his wrist during the penultimate stage.

The team Giant rider, who won two previous stages in this year's edition of the Tour, suffered a fall 60 kilometres from the finish line and broke his left wrist on Friday, reports Efe.

Dumoulin initially tried to continue in the race, but found himself too impaired by the injury to complete the stage.
