New Delhi, July 21 (IANS) Japan-based Kyocera has attained the top position in the monochrome photocopier category with a market share of 20.19 per cent -- highest among the key players in this segment -- in India, market research firm International Data Corporation (IDC) said on Thursday.
"By following a pragmatic approach with focus on time-bound results, we have managed to beat the downturn in the photocopier market. We intend to further expand into high-revenue niche markets," said K. Swetharanyan, Managing Director of Kyocera Document Solutions (India), in a statement.
According to IDC, Kyocera was among the major gainers in the A3 photocopier market last year as well.
Kyocera recently launched a new colour multi-functional printer (MFP) to help reduce business operations cost while increasing efficiency and productivity.
The Rs 3,20,000 TASKalfa 3051ci colour MFP is equipped with in-built password protection feature to maintain confidentiality of documents post-printing.
