MP assembly adjourns until Wednesday after obituary references

Bhopal, July 18 (IANS) The Madhya Pradesh assembly, which began its monsoon session on Monday, was adjourned until Wednesday after paying tributes to lawmakers who have died in the recent past.

"The assembly paid tribute to lawmakers Rajendra Shyamlal Dadu, Dalpat Singh Paraste, Yagya Dutt Sharma, Lakshminarayan Pande, Rajesh Nandini Singh, Ranbahadur Singh, Satyendra Pathak, Nar Narayan Singh, Kamta Prasad Kushwaha and Ibrahim Qureshi.

Also remembered was A.K. Pyasi, who was Principal Secretary of the Madhya Pradesh Assembly.

Chief Minister Shivraj Singh Chouhan, Speaker Sitasaran Sharma, Women and Child Development Minister Archana Chitnis, Leader of Opposition Bala Bachchan, and BSP legislature party chief Satyaprakash Sakhwar spoke on the life and work of the deceased.

The members then observed a two-minute silence in memory of the deceased after which the speaker adjourned the proceedings until Wednesday.
