Shimla, July 18 (IANS) Most parts of Himachal Pradesh on Monday continued to experience rains with Paonta Sahib recording the highest rainfall in the state at 104 mm, officials said. Now the monsoon will largely remain subdued for the next three days, the Met office said.
"Monsoon remained active in the state in the last 24 hours. Precipitation occurred at most places with very heavy rainfall in Sirmaur district adjoining Uttarakhand," said an official of the meteorological office.
Jogindernagar town in Mandi district got 43 mm, while picturesque resort Kasauli received 35 mm and Dharamsala 24 mm.
State capital Shimla got just 3.2 mm rain.
A government spokesperson said the Satluj, Beas and Yamuna rivers and their tributaries are in spate in Kinnaur, Shimla, Kullu, Mandi, Bilaspur and Sirmaur districts.
