Patna, July 18 (IANS) Four Maoists were arrested and a huge quantity of explosives was recovered in Bihar's Rohtas district on Monday during a raid in connection with a person's death in a crude bomb blast outside a court last week, police said.
Rohtas Superintendent of Police M.S. Dhillon said police have recovered arms and ammunition, including 28,000 detonators, eight quintals of ammonium nitrate and 20 gelatin rods.
One person was killed and two were injured in a crude bomb blast outside a court in Sasaram, district headquarters of Rohtas.
According to police, the bomb was placed by unidentified criminals inside a motorbike near the main gate of the court in Sasaram.
Police also seized two rifles and two pistols from the arrested Maoists, belonging to Tritiya Prastuti Committee (TPC), a split Maoist outfit.
Rohtas is considered one of the strongholds of the outlawed Communist Party of India-Maoist.
