Yamini is from Coimbatore. She was an IT professional and a model who was interested in getting into Kollywood. When she expressed her wish at home, her mother wanted her to finish academics first. So she finished her studies and immediately started trying for a good opportunity in Tamil. And so she auditioned for the lead role in Papparapaam along with 30 others and was selected to play the lead.
Yamini is very confident that her character in Papparapaam would give the much-needed impetus for her acting career. Because her role in the movie is one-of-its-kind and her name in the movie is also unique she says.
Yamini is happy about being part of an unusual and interesting script and feels lucky to get such a debut which is not possible for every heroine.
