New Delhi, July 15 (IANS) Union HRD Minister Prakash Javadekar on Friday urged the students community in the country to concentrate on innovations that could change the face of the nation in the world.
Javadekar, who took over as the HRD minister recently, said that there was a need for the students to become good teachers, so that their learnings enlightens the next generation in terms of knowledge.
"I will go and tell our Prime Minister that here are the students who will change our nation. Aspiration reflects concern for the nation and our people and belief in quality education for transformation of India," he said in his address to the students of Indian Institute of Technology-Delhi, during his maiden visit to the institution.
He said that he was excited to hear about start-ups set up in some hostel rooms there and wished every room becomes a start-up of great ideas and generates immense wealth for the nation.
Javadekar, on the occasion, also said that Narendra Modi government was committed to position IITs among the best global institutions.
