"There is a possibility of rains and thunder showers towards the afternoon or evening," an official of the India Meteorological Department said.

On Thursday, the humidity at 8.30 a.m. was recorded at 84 per cent. Visibility stood at 3,000 metres.
The maximum temperature of the day is likely to hover around 34 degrees Celsius, the official said.
The maximum temperature on Wednesday settled at 35.4 degrees Celsius, average for the season while the minimum temperature was recorded at 27.8 degrees Celsius, one notch below the season's average.
