Partly Cloudy Thursday morning in Delhi

New Delhi, July 14 (IANS) It was a partly cloudy Thursday morning here with the minimum temperature recorded at 27.4 degrees Celsius, average for the season, the weather office said.

"There is a possibility of rains and thunder showers towards the afternoon or evening," an official of the India Meteorological Department said.

On Wednesday, Delhi saw an average of 16.3 mm rainfall. However that failed to afford Delhiites respite from the sweltering humidity.

On Thursday, the humidity at 8.30 a.m. was recorded at 84 per cent. Visibility stood at 3,000 metres.

The maximum temperature of the day is likely to hover around 34 degrees Celsius, the official said.

The maximum temperature on Wednesday settled at 35.4 degrees Celsius, average for the season while the minimum temperature was recorded at 27.8 degrees Celsius, one notch below the season's average.
