Digne joins Barcelona from PSG

Paris, July 14 (IANS) France international defender Lucas Digne joined FC Barcelona on a five-year deal from Ligue 1 champions Paris Saint Germain, the Spanish club has confirmed.

The 22-year-old left back spent last season on a successful loan deal at Italian Serie A's Roma soccer club, reports Xinhua.

"His pace on the left makes him a threat going forward as does his excellent technical quality on the ball," Barca said in a statement on Wednesday.

Digne was part of Didier Deschamps' 23-strong France squad for Euro 2016, but didn't play a single minute.
