New Delhi, July 12 (IANS) "Parched" wouldn't have happened without the support of Ajay Devgn, who has co-produced it, says the movie's director Leena Yadav.
She says it was "amazing" to work with Ajay, who has co-produced "Parched" with Aseem Bajaj, Gulab Singh and Rohan Jagdale.
Speaking about her association with Ajay, Yadav told IANS: "The project couldn't have happened without him. He gave us the seed money to even start the project.
"Other than that, he has been a big support. He has always made unconventional choices. He has done something different. He is also a guy who knows the business and industry better than us."
Set in rural India, "Parched" stars Radhika Apte, Tannishtha Chatterjee, and Lehar Khan in key roles. It follows the lives of three ordinary women who begin to break free from centuries-old traditions.
The movie is the opening film at the London Indian Film Festival, which gets underway on July 14.
