Los Angeles, July 11 (IANS) Aerosmith guitarist Joe Perry is "stable" after collapsing during a performance with American rock supergroup the Hollywood Vampires.
After the concert, which was held on July 9 at the Ford Amphitheater at Coney Island Boardwalk, Brooklyn, fellow bandmate Alice Cooper took to Twitter to inform fans that Perry "is stable right now, with family and is under the best care", reports aceshowbiz.com.
Perry fell ill during the concert and collapsed about thirty seconds into the show.
According to fans, Perry looked "noticeably ill" that night. In a video taken at the gig, he was sitting on the drum riser while playing guitar, before walking off the stage. He apparently lost consciousness and collapsed backstage, and Emergency Medical Technicians (EMTs) on site revived him.
He was immediately transported to Coney Island Hospital and was later transferred to Columbia Presbyterian Hospital for an unspecified reason.
Hollywood Vampires continued performing after Perry collapsed backstage.
"If you notice one of our brothers is not onstage with us, he was very sick before show," Cooper said to address Perry's absence.
He also asked the audience to chant "Get well, Joe."
The band also features Hollywood actor Johnny Depp.
