Kannur (Kerala), July 9 (IANS) Veteran Communist leader and former Kerala Chief Minister V.S. Achuthanandan on Saturday donned grease paint and faced the camera in a film with an environment theme - which has always been his favourite.
The 92-year-old spent an hour at the set, at Kuthuparampu here, of "Campus Diary" directed by Jeevan Das in which he plays a character called V.S.
The theme of the film is exploitation of water resources by corporates against which the local villagers are up in arms and Achuthanandan comes to express his solidarity with the villagers.
He addresses the villagers and since his speech is an attack on the corporate, it proved easy for the Communist Party of India-Marxist leader who completed the shot like an accomplished actor and left.
