William Shatner to headline ‘Star Trek’ panel at Comic-Con

Los Angeles, July 6 (IANS) Actor William Shatner will headline an all-star panel of past "Star Trek" actors with moderator Bryan Fuller at the Comic-Con in San Diego this month.

The panel will also feature Michael Dorn ("Star Trek: The Next Generation" and "Star Trek: Deep Space Nine"), Brent Spiner ("Star Trek: The Next Generation"), Jeri Ryan ("Star Trek: Voyager") and Scott Bakula ("Star Trek: Enterprise"), reports variety.com.

Set to take place on July 23, 'Star Trek’: Celebrating 50 Years is one of several events scheduled for Comic-Con to celebrate the 50th anniversary of the "Star Trek" franchise.

Among the other “Star Trek”-related promotions at Comic-Con are an art exhibit, “50 Artists. 50 Years” in San Diego’s Gaslamp District, and a partnership with MAC Cosmetics.

Other “Star Trek” panels slated for Comic Con include “Trek Talks: Science, the Smithsonian and ‘Star Trek'”; “‘Star Trek’: The Rodenberry Vault”; “Trek Talks: ‘Star Trek’ and NASA Boldly Go”; “‘Star Trek’ the Official Starships Collection: Designing and Filming Starships”; and “‘Star Trek’: Five Decades of Comics”.

Paramount’s upcoming feature film “Star Trek Beyond” will also have its world premiere at Comic-Con.
