New Delhi, July 5 (IANS) Bharatiya Janata Party lawmaker from Rajasthan Arjun Ram Meghwal on Tuesday cycled up the Raisina Hill to Rashtrapati Bhavan for his swearing-in as Union Minister.
Meghwal, a former IAS officer, regularly cycles his way to Parliament. And on Tuesday, he did not hesitate to do pedal again for his entry into the Union Council of Ministers of Prime Minister Narendra Modi.
Meghwal was followed by some of his admirers and supporters, including BJP workers, giving a tough time to the security personnel who were seen running to keep pace with the minister-to-be.
A video of Meghwal cycling to Rashtrapati Bhavan has gone viral on microblogging site twitter.
On April 20, during enforcement of the odd-even traffic scheme by the Delhi government, the 63-year-old lawmaker registered his protest against the Aam Aadmi Party-led government's move and tried to send a message by cycling to Parliament.
The Lok Sabha member from Bikaner was on Tuesday sworn-in as Minister of State.
