Lucknow, July 4 (IANS) The district administration has ordered a security audit of all schools in the state capital following a terror threat on a city school, an official said on Monday.
District Magistrate Raj Shekhar has also asked all schools to ensure that security arrangements are in place.
The district administration has asked all school managements to ensure that the details about security sent to them by police officials are complied by July 30.
The security plan insists that all schools have armed guards at the gates, entry and exit gates be separate, no outsider allowed inside school premises and complete adherence to the 'Standard Procedure for Dealing with any terrorist attack on schools' of the Central Board of Secondary Exam (CBSE).
Education department officials have also been sensitised on the matter and they have asked to review the security preparedness of schools from time to time, the official told IANS.
Last week, a threat was by local police about a possible terror attack on a prominent school in the city's Gomtinagar area.
Police later dismissed the threat saying it was not credible.
