London, July 1 (IANS) English winger Andros Townsend has left Newcastle United and signed on Friday with Crystal Palace for five football seasons.
Townsend, 24, arrives at the South London side for 13 million pounds sterling ($17.2 million) and thus returns to the English Premier League after the Magpies fell late last season from the Championship, reports Efe.
Townsend, who scored four goals in 13 appearances for Newcastle, said he is delighted to move to Palace.
