Youth Congress supporters protest outside Kejriwal's house

New Delhi, June 30 (IANS) Scores of supporters of the Delhi Pradesh Youth Congress on Thursday staged a protest outside Delhi Chief Minister Arvind Kejriwal's residence here over the "non-fulfilment of poll promises" and demanded his resignation.

The protesters said the Aam Aadmi Party government did not fulfil its promises made during the February 2015 assembly elections, including free Wi-Fi facility and opening of 20 new colleges in the national capital.

The protesters earlier rallied at the Vishwavidyalaya Metro station and marched to Kejriwal's residence in the Civil Lines area.

Police stopped them near the Chief Minister's residence and also used water cannons to disperse the crowd.

"Kejriwal should quit if he is not able to deliver on his poll promises," a protestor said.

"They had promised to provide free Wi-Fi facility to the public if voted to power and also promised to open 20 new colleges. Not a single new college has been opened till date," he said.
