Ghaziabad, June 29 (IANS) A city realtor, a relative of a Samajwadi Party leader, is missing under mysterious circumstances, police said on Wednesday.
Jitendra Tomar, who is brother-in-law of Samajwadi Party leader Anand Chaudhary and living in RDC-13, was reported missing since Monday by his driver Brahma Pal.
Pal reported for duty on Monday but did not receive any instruction from Tomar till evening at the latter's office.
After he failed to elicit any response from the house the following day, he noticed the CCTV installed at the gate was missing. He found the main gate as well as other rooms of the house unlocked. He then reported the matter to the Kavi Nagar police station.
On Wednesday, Tomar's daughter said her father's mobile phone was also switched off.
"Tomar lived alone since his daughter is married in Raipur in Chhattisgarh while his son, wife and daughter-in-law live at Karmu-Kheri at Tomar's farmhouse. We have registered a case and trying to find clues to his disappearance," Kavi Nagar Inspector Ashok Sishodia said.
