Mumbai, June 29 (IANS) Filmmaker Shoojit Sircar understands that editing is an integral part of filmmaking business, but says deleting the best scenes of a movie is heartbreaking.
Sircar is busy with final editing of his production "Pink", which features megastar Amitabh Bachchan and Taapsee Pannu.
The Piku director took to Twitter to share his views about editing.
He posted: The other juiciest part of film making is the final editing. Deleting best scenes with heartbreak and joy as well..#pinkpinkthefilm.
Amitabh took note of Sircar's tweet and posted: Shoojit Sircar thank you for forewarning me that mine have gone down the drain!
To that, Sircar responded: No sir...will screen it for you soon.
The film is directed by National Award-winning Bengali director Aniruddha Roy Chowdhury, who is stepping into Hindi movies with the project.

Filmmaker Hansal Mehta says making digital archives for Indian cinema is the need of the hour.
Mehta expressed his views after watching a presentation by Indiancine.ma -- an annotated online archive of Indian films. The online platform is intended to serve as a shared resource for film scholars and enthusiasts in India and beyond.

Vir Das slams political party loyalists
Hitting out at political party loyalists, comedian-actor Vir Das says there is a lack of understanding of the principles of democracy in people who spew hatred all day in the name of dedication towards a particular party.
He tweeted: If your love for any party makes you spew hatred all day...you have no understanding of democracy, and your party deserves better than you.
Predicting backlash from the political party loyalists, the actor went on to request all such social media users to refrain from commenting.
He shared: Sincere request. If you're a political party handle... Stay the hell away from my tweets. I've got my own battles, I ain't fighting yours.
