Dhaka, June 29 (IANS) England are set to play a warm-up match ahead of the One-Day International (ODI) series and two more before the Test series in their month-long Bangladesh tour.
Visiting Bangladesh for the first time since 2010, the English cricket team will reach the country on September 30, reported bdnews24.com on Tuesday.
Touring teams usually play a one-day and a three-day warm-up match in Bangladesh. Instead of a three-day match this time, England will play a couple of two-day matches in the run up to the Test series.
With the first ODI set for October 7 in Dhaka, England will get a week to adapt to local conditions. The first warm-up, a one-dayer, will be played on October 4 in Fatullah.
According to the itinerary, the last 50-over encounter will be held at Chittagong's Zahur Ahmed Chowdhury Stadium.
Before the Test series begins, England will play the two-day warm-up matches at Chittagong's MA Aziz Stadium.
The first match of the two-Test series will also be played at the Zahur Ahmed Chowdhury Stadium from October 20. The teams will then return to Dhaka for the last Test, slated to start on October 28.
