New Delhi, June 28 (IANS) It was a partially cloudy but humid Tuesday in Delhi with the maximum temperature settling at 35.3 degrees Celsius, two notches below the season's average but the humidity was as high as 98 per cent, the weather office said predicting light rain on Wednesday.
"Wednesday will remain partly cloudy and light rain/thunder shower is likely to occur in some areas," an official of the India Meteorological Department (IMD) told IANS.
The maximum and minimum temperatures are likely to hover around 36 and 26 degrees Celsius respectively.
Rains on Monday night however brought respite from hot weather in the city decreasing Tuesday's minimum temperature to three notches below the season's average at 25 degree Celsius but humidity level ranged between 61 and 98 per cent
Monday's maximum temperature settled at 39.6 degrees Celsius, two notches above the season's average while the minimum temperature was recorded at 30 degree Celsius, two notches above the season's average
