London, June 29 (IANS) FTSE 100 Index, British benchmark stock market gauge rose by 2.64 per cent, or 158.19 points, to 6,140.39 points.
Share price of Hargreaves Lansdown increased by 8.90 per cent, topped the gainers of the blue chips on Tuesday, Xinhua news agency reported.
Associated British Foods, Land Securities Group, Next and Legal & General Group increased by 8.72 per cent, 8.68 percent, 8.23 per cent and 7.88 per cent respectively.
Fresnillo led the top losers of the blue chips with a share price drop of 2.29 per cent, following by Antofagasta (1.87 per cent) , Randgold Resources (0.87 per cent), Paddy Power Betfair (0.87 per cent) and Whitbread (0.67 per cent).
