World appreciates India vis-a-vis Pakistan: Modi

New Delhi, June 27 (IANS) The world accepts now that the brunt of terrorism India faces emanates from Pakistan, Prime Minister Narendra Modi has said.

"With whom would you decide the 'Lakshman Rekha' in case of Pakistan? With the elected government or with other actors?" Modi asked during an interview to TimesNow.

He said "India has to be alert all the time" vis-a-vis Pakistan.

"The result of my efforts -- of going to Lahore, inviting the Pakistan Prime Minister (Nawaz Sharif) to India... I don't have to explain to the world any more what is India's role. The world is appreciating India's role in one voice," Modi said.

"It is becoming difficult for Pakistan to reply, we can see that."

Modi added that for a long time the world did not recognise terrorism as a problem.

"For example, on terrorism, the world did not buy India's terrorism theory for long. They at times said it is your law and order problem.

"Today the world has to accept what India has said about terrorism. The world is now accepting the losses India has faced because of terrorism. We have to take it forward from here," he said.
