Kolkata, June 27 (IANS) State-run United Bank of India (UBI) on Monday launched IMPS, the real time fund transfer facility through its branches along with account statement on a missed call and voice OTP (one-time password) facilities.
The bank already had provide information of their balance on missed call and a customer will now be able to fetch a mini statement of their account by giving a missed call at 08010968350, the bank said in a statement.
Further, customers from now onwards at the time of online transactions may opt for voice OTP, apart from the existing OTP through SMS.
Bank Managing Director and CEO P. Srinivas said that these transactions not only save time for customers but also are cost effective, minimize wait time and at the same time fully secured.
The lender is ready with Unified Payment Interface, which will be rolled out for its customers along with select few banks once National Payments Corporation of India Agives the go ahead, it said.
