The Tenderloins to challenge Indian comics via web show

Mumbai, June 27 (IANS) Popular American comedy troupe The Tenderloins is all set to invade the Indian digital space. The troupe, better known as Impractical Jokers, will be hosting a digital comedy challenge titled "Sprite Comedy Konkout by Culture Machine".

Culture Machine, a digital media company, has got The Tenderloins - a New York-based comedy troupe comprising of Joe Gatto, James Murray, Brian Quinn and Sal Vulcano -- on board. They are creators, executive producers, and stars of hit TV series "Impractical Jokers".

In the digital comedy contest, the group will throw an open challenge to all digital comedians and internet sensations in India to find out the best from the lot. 'Sprite Comedy Konkout by Culture Machine' will start on YouTube on June 29.

The group is excited to put Indian comic skills to test.

In a joint statement to IANS, the troupe said: "We're loving Knockout because it's going to spark creativity, and that's always a good thing. Plus we are getting exposed to an abundance of talent from India, which is something we would have missed out on if not for Comedy Knockout.

"It's great to see how similar and how different humour is around the world."

The challenge will start with The Tenderloins releasing a joke video online, challenging Indian comedians to come up with something funnier.
