It's hard to portray dark side on screen: RJ Rohit Vir

Mumbai, June 27 (IANS) Popular radio jockey Rohit Vir opted for a role with grey shades for his debut in Bollywood. He says playing a negative character in "7 Hours to Go" was the "toughest challenge", and hopes the audience accepts him as an actor.

Rohit plays Kabeer Khemka in "7 Hours To Go", which is an investigative thriller based in Mumbai.

"Playing a negative character was the toughest challenge and that’s the reason behind choosing this role. I am known to be this happy- go-lucky person prancing around and pulling everyone’s leg, but for this character I had to try very hard to get the dark side and portray that on-screen,” Rohit said in a statement.

Rohit, who is a RJ at Radio City 91.1 FM here, said that acting is a different ball game as compared to being a radio jockey.

“It was an amazing experience and I hope that the audience accepts me as an actor and gives me as much love and affection I have received as a radio jockey," he said.

"7 Hours To Go", directed by Saurabh Verma, also stars Shiv Pandit, Natasa Stankovic and Varun Badola among others. The film released on Friday.
