Turin, June 27 (IANS) Veteran Brazilian right-back Dani Alves underwent a medical examination on Monday before signing his contract with Serie A champions Juventus for the next two football seasons on a free transfer.
The former Barcelona player travelled to Turin on Sunday night after enjoying a short holiday following the Copa America, reports Efe.
The club statement said that Alves arrived on Monday morning at the medical centre owned by Juventus, to undergo the examination.
The 33-year-old won three Champions Leagues, six La Liga titles and four Copa del Rey trophies during his eight-year stint at Catalan club Barcelona.
Alves will be the second signing for Juventus this season after Bosnian midfielder Miralem Pjanic, who joined the Turin club from Roma.
