Los Angeles, June 25 (IANS) Veteran actor and executive producer of American political drama TV series "Madam Secretary" Morgan Freeman says the show brings forward a fictional story with a system and a government that everyone aspires to have in the real world.
"Madam Secretary" -- a political drama -- has been created by Barbara Hall and executive produced by Lori McCreary and Freeman. "Madam Secretary" is aired in India on AXN India channel.
Asked what sets "Madam Secretary" apart from other political dramas, Freeman said the answer lies in a "positive" storyline.
"We are going to have a government that we want to have in this show. We have a President who stated he thinks he can make a positive difference in the world. It means he wants to do good and he wants a Secretary of State who understands that and buys into that. That's what he has," Freeman told IANS.
Starring Téa Leoni as Elizabeth McCord, the show explores her life as a shrewd newly-appointed United States Secretary of State.
The show also focuses on the personal lives of the characters.
Hall, the creator of the show, believes that the show will grab eyeballs as "people love politics".
She said: "They love seeing how the curtain is pulled back on what actually happens in the White House and the world."
