Chicago, June 24 (IANS) Police ar looking for Sinead O'Connor after one of her family members told authorities that the Irish singer reportedly threatened to kill herself.
The Chicago police department received a call from Irish police who said that O'Connor was suicidal, reports tmz.com.
The "Nothing compares 2 u" singer reportedly told one of her relatives that she was going to jump off a bridge in the Chicago area.
Chicago police department scanner said: "The word from the Ireland police sergeant Claire Mulligan, Dublin, Ireland, is saying that at 15.30 hours Sinead O'Connor called and said, 'I'm on a bridge in Chicago and I'm going to jump'".
It was also said that Chicago police spotted a woman who fit the singer's profile, but it was not her. Though it's not an active search, police have been told to be on the lookout for O'Connor.
O'Connor has been struggling with depression recently. Just last month, she was reported missing after failing to return from a bike ride.
Hours later, the 49-year-old took to Facebook to say she had been "abandoned".
