New Delhi, June 23 (IANS) After targeting RBI Governor Raghuram Rajan and Chief Economic Adviser Arvind Subramanian, BJP leader Subramanian Swamy on Thursday took a dig at the Secretary Economic Affairs, Shaktikanta Das.
However, Finance Minister Arun Jaitley termed Swamy's salvo as "unfair and false".
When a Twitter user asked for the removal of Das, Swamy replied that he feels a case is pending against the Secretary for assisting former Finance Minister P. Chidambaram.
Replying to the tweet, Swamy said: "I think there is a property deal case pending against him for assisting PC swallow Mahabalipuram prime locations."
But Jaitley came out in full defence of his ministry official.
"An unfair and false attack on a disciplined civil servant in the Finance Ministry," Jaitley tweeted.
