Bengaluru, June 23 (IANS) Southwest Monsoon is progressing as per average across Karnataka, the Meteorological Centre said on Thursday, predicting rainfall all over the state.
"There was widespread rainfall in coastal Karnataka and north interior Karnataka and fairly widespread rainfall over south interior Karnataka on Wednesday," said a Met official.
According to the Met office, it rained 25 mm in Bengaluru on Wednesday and the city is expected to experience a generally cloudy sky with few spells of rain or thundershowers.
On Wednesday, the city recorded a maximum temperature of 27.6 degrees Celsius, one notch below the average temperature, and minimum temperature of 19.8 degrees Celsius which matched the average.
Bengaluru is expected to record a maximum temperature of 27 degrees Celsius and a minimum of 20 degrees Celsius on Thursday.
Heavy rainfall was recorded on Wednesday at Mangalore (109 mm), Honnavar (68 mm), Karwar (108 mm), Madikeri (36 mm) and Agumbe (78 mm).
