Nikitin's throne in TV show inspired from 'Game of Thrones'?

The throne that actor Nikitin Dheer sits on in TV show “Nagarjun - Ek Yoddha” is perhaps inspired by the popular American fantasy drama series “Game of Thrones”.

Nikitin, who plays Astika (a snake) in the show, uses the specially designed throne which features hundreds of artificial snakes on it.

“The reference point may have been the throne from 'Game of Thrones' along with many other references. However, we have used snakes as our main element on the throne whereas throne in 'Game of Thrones' has knives as that's part of their storytelling,” Yash Patnaik, producer of “Nagarjun - Ek Yoddha”, said in a statement.

“Apart from that, I wanted our throne to look part contemporary and part ancient as it is Astika's throne who is an immortal. Hence, it can't be a throne a Maharaja uses, it has to have more character and a rustic feel to it,” Patnaik added.

Asked if he is a “Game of Thrones” fan, Nikitin said: “I am not a fan of the series as I have not watched it yet.”

“Nagarjun - Ek Yoddha” is aired on Life OK.
